Salmon Habitat in a Changing Climate

Climate Resilience Index

Regional Workshop #2: November 2023

In November 2023, the Coast Salmon Partnership hosted a one-day workshop focused on climate-resilient watershed planning that would benefit salmon, steelhead, and char habitats of the Washington coast. The event introduced a new tool that describes climate resilience of salmon and their habitats in the region, and participants gave feedback on the products under development. The event was attended by restoration practitioners, land use planners, review committee members, and others interested in coastal salmon restoration and resilience. Input received at this workshop was used to finalize an Online Interactive Tool and User Guide through which users can select a watershed of interest on the Washington Coast and test different scenarios to improve climate resilience of that watershed.
